MIREK COUTIGNY AND ELIAS DEVOLDERE DELIVER ELECTRONIC PSYCHEDELIA ON “ATLAS”
Electronic artist Mirek Coutigny paints the most beautiful landscape in your mind through the elaborate layering of synths and textures. With the assistance of Elias Devoldere on drums, this collaboration is easily one for the books.
The ambient intro of the track takes your mind to a place where you can just drift off and kick back with simple keys and then when the synth and drums come in, the groove takes over. The tasteful baselines perfectly outline the melodic beauty being performed on the synths and keys that Mirek lays down. The drum groove starts simply with some light cross sticking and almost a jazz-like pattern. When the bass grove comes in there’s some faint voices in the background.
