MCCLENDON DROPS EPIC, INDIE/FOLK JAM, “WHAT I’VE BECOME”

Mcclendon is about to revolutionize the realms of indie and folk with his self-titled debut album that just dropped in June. The record’s lead single, “What I’ve Become” is a superb example of introspective, yet bombastic folk rock, done right. Beginning with a slow burning acoustic intro, the song builds and builds upon layers of guitars, Mcclendon’s haunting vocals, a kickass snare drum working overtime and what sounds like a rad little horn section echoing through the background. “What I’ve Become” starts off like a standard folksy number but crescendos into something truly special and definitely worth replaying a few dozen times or so.
