London-based indie-pop singer/songwriter Kate Lomas pushes her boundaries with her latest EP release Party Tricks. The songstress has now released her final single from the project “Better That Way” offering a smooth and contrasting feel compared to her latest more rhythmically upbeat singles “Radioactive” and “Die Young”.

Her most recent effort feels like a bit of a trip introducing the record with a lo-fi rising synth arp sounding almost like a floating ascension into space. The track is certainly worthy of an add on any ‘chill’ titled playlist with the single sporting an effortless laid back flair while remaining exhilarating and uplifting in feel with added live percussion and distant ambient vocal calls. The chorus hits ever so sweetly injecting sub-bass tones coupled with Kate’s tremendously catchy and hypnotic vocal hook.

Speaking on the recent tune, Kate states “the track is all about creating a fantasy world to sink inside of when reality gets too overwhelming”. A feeling perfectly instated in the single and one we can all relate to. The record well-combines Kate’s developed indie electronica signature sound incorporating elements of chillwave to craft a soul-searching ambient delight.
