KASPER ROCK OUT WITH NEW ANTHEM “WASTED POTENTIAL”

Kasper is a New York pop-rock band hailing from Rockland County, bringing a sound that lands somewhere between Tonight Alive, Set It Off, and Avril Lavigne. Led by frontwoman Michelle Gorman, who also performs in It’s Not A Phase Mom, the band pairs Gorman’s powerful vocals with infectious hooks, punchy guitars, and plenty of attitude.

Today, September 8, Kasper dropped a new song for us to immediately put on repeat titled “Wasted Potential.” The track opens with a moody build before exploding into headbang-worthy guitar riffs. When Gorman kicks off the first verse with, “I don’t think that it’s talking shit if I’m just telling the truth,” she brings the same kind of unapologetic moxie that made Avril Lavigne an icon.

By the time the chorus hits, Kasper is officially over it. No more accepting apologies. No more taking shit. No more excuses. They’re done waiting around for someone to become the person they convinced themselves they could be.

Now, we know what you might be thinking: another girl, another breakup song. But “Wasted Potential” is about so much more than that.

This one is for the people who overthink everything. The ones who build an entire version of someone inside their head, imagining what they could do, how they might change, and who they could eventually become. You try so hard to fix something that simply can’t be fixed, only to get let down again and again because you fell in love with someone’s potential instead of paying attention to their credentials.

And it doesn’t have to be a romantic relationship. It could be a parent, sibling, teacher, boss, coworker, or even a lifelong friend. Eventually, you realize the only person you can truly change is yourself. That’s where “Wasted Potential” really hits.

So get up, get out, seriously, go outside or something. Get out of your head and fall back into the arms of life. Touch some grass, blast “Wasted Potential,” and start living up to your potential instead. The possibilities are limitless.
