HOT MULLIGAN DROPS NEW SINGLE “AND A BIG LOAD” AHEAD OF UPCOMING ALBUM

Michigan's own Hot Mulligan has just dropped their latest single, "And a Big Load," accompanied by a high-energy music video. This release serves as the lead single from their forthcoming fourth studio album, The Sound a Body Makes When It's Still, scheduled for release on August 22 via Wax Bodega.
The track delves into themes of self-inflicted struggles and the consequences of one's actions. Co-vocalist Chris Freeman explains, "Our biggest conflicts and struggles are often self-inflicted. Drink too much? Hangover. What did you say last night? Apologize… or don’t. You could commit suicide instead. You could commit to being sober. You could commit to drinking one million beers. It’ll all be left for you to deal with. It’s terrifying."
The accompanying music video, directed by Michael Herrick, captures the band's chaotic energy with a skatepark performance, complete with early-2000s pop-punk aesthetics.
The Sound a Body Makes When It's Still promises to be Hot Mulligan's most comprehensive album to date, tackling fears head-on and embracing unfiltered vulnerabilities. The 16-track album includes intriguingly titled songs like "Monica Lewinskibidi" and "It Smells Like Fudge Axe in Here."
In support of the new album, Hot Mulligan is set to embark on a series of intimate shows, including performances in Brooklyn, Chicago, and Detroit, as well as appearances at major festivals like Bonnaroo and the Four Chord Music Festival.
