HOLLYVINE SENDS YOU GROOVING THROUGH THE COSMOS WITH NEW SINGLE "TIME"
Indie psychedelic pop artist HOLLYVINE dropped a new single that is absolutely entrancing. It begins with a very beautiful swell of synths and textures which builds up into a steady groove that captivates the listener instantly. The groove accompanies the vocals and the singer has a very Roger Waters sounding first verse which is amazing.
To be a psych-rock band you have to pay tribute to the greats such as Pink Floyd to really dive into the genre, and HOLLYVINE does a fantastic job at achieving this. After the first chorus, he goes into a spoken-word monologue which has synths droning the background. In most songs that use spoken word or audio sampling, you tend to hear it only once, but with this song, he actually brings it back once again at the end with another monologue from the singer which is unorthodox but very well executed. It truly is captivating.
A tasteful guitar solo comes in at the end to wrap up the song. The textures in the song are beautifully intertwined that paint a beautiful picture of starry skies and flashing colors, a pure psychedelic wonderland.
