HEMBREE KEEP THEIR “OPTIONS” OPEN ON INFECTIOUS NEW SINGLE

Los Angeles-based indie rockers Hembree have just dropped one of the tastiest songs of the summer with their new single, “Options.”

The band kicks things off with a delectable keyboard intro before sliding into a stomping drum groove. Once the bass enters the fray, Hembree’s knack for insanely funky hooks and infectious rhythms really starts to shine.

“Options” has plenty going for it, including a bass tone seemingly plucked straight from the heavens, pulsating hi-hats, and one particularly great moment when vocalist Isaac Flynn stretches out the words “options and dreams” while the keyboards seemingly mimic his delivery. It’s a small detail, but one that immediately sticks in your head.

Then comes the final minute.

Just when you think you’ve figured “Options” out, Hembree turns everything up and delivers a straight-up rock ‘n’ roll masterclass. A swagger-filled guitar solo takes over before the drums erupt into a barrage of double-bass madness, completely transforming the energy of the track.

It’s funky, catchy, a little unpredictable, and ridiculously fun.

Hembree knows how to build a groove, but with “Options,” they also prove they know exactly how to end one with a bang.
