HARMONY REDFORD LETS LOOSE IN ADDICTING SINGLE “INDECISIVE”
With a peppy beat and sultry melodic voice, Harmony Redford channels her inner angst with the catchy bedroom pop tune, “Indecisive.” Redford is incredibly skilled at crafting playful wordplay that blends seamlessly with a bright, catchy tune.
Being led on by someone you’ve invested time in is crummy, and it's increasingly common with the rise of situationships. Redford has obviously felt this to the core, as she explores the process in an authentic way that reads like a rant.
There’s an irony of being labelled the “indecisive one” when the other person is leading you astray – a classic case of projection. With her breathy, Ethel Cain-style vocals, she sounds out, “No answer is an answer.” Her words are addicting, calling you to get up and chant with her.
Given that she is entirely self-produced, Redford shows she is more than capable of creating a snappy song. Each layered instrument makes the simple song structure feel larger-than-life. The gentle strums give it a laid-back vibe that is contrasted by the quick-hitting drum fills. These together represent the push and pull of not being somebody’s first choice, and the inevitable hassle that comes with it.
To anybody who’s letting a person string them along, “Indecisive” will help you cut the cord. As one of her best tracks to date, Harmony Redford is obviously having fun while being able to let off some steam.
