GOODNIGHT KID GOES THE DISTANCE IN DEBUT POP-PUNK SINGLE “RABBIT”

Pop-punk band Goodnight Kid has plenty of tricks up their sleeve. Though up-and-coming, the English pop-punkers have an already-polished sound that they’re ready to share with the masses. Their latest single, “Rabbit,” offers the same magic we all felt when we heard our first pop-punk anthem. It’s angsty but relatable, pessimistic with a glimmer of hope — and downright catchy as hell.

The song starts slow and steady, with a nice sample kicking it off. Initially, the song’s opener sounds a bit like Turnstile, but don’t expect that for the rest of the song. Eventually, it takes an entirely different turn after it gains momentum.

And the craziest part?

This is Goodnight Kid’s debut.

I couldn’t believe it, either.

Their sound is so tight that this hardly sounds like a group that’s just getting started. I would have believed they’ve already embarked on their first tour — at least across the pond.

“Rabbit” proves that Goodnight Kid is not just here for a season, but for a reason.
