GIDEON COME OUT SWINGING ON NEW SINGLE “4X4”

The Alabama heavyweights have unleashed their latest single, “4x4,” alongside an official music video, and it absolutely rips. Loud, pissed off, and built to cave in venue floors, the track feels like Gideon leaning fully into what they do best: massive riffs, stomping grooves, and pure attitude.

“4x4” wastes zero time getting to the point. The guitars come in swinging with a thick, punishing tone while the drums hit with enough force to feel physical. There’s a swagger to the track, too, something grimy and confident underneath all the aggression that keeps it from feeling one-dimensional. Gideon sounds locked in here, tighter and meaner than ever.

Vocally, the performance is all gas, no brakes. The delivery feels confrontational in the best way, barking through the mix with the kind of conviction that makes the track impossible to ignore. Lyrically, it carries that familiar Gideon mentality: unapologetic, direct, and built for screaming back in a packed room.

The official video matches the song’s energy shot for shot. It’s performance-driven and raw without feeling overproduced or forced. The rodeo setting, circling truck, and horse imagery give it a uniquely Southern flavor that sets it apart from the usual warehouse-performance-heavy video formula.

The release arrives as the band gears up for the “Let It Rip” North American Tour alongside Alpha Wolf, Mugshot, and Resolve, and prepares for a performance at Aftershock 2026 this October. Safe to say, these songs are about to hit even harder live. For tickets, click HERE!

What makes “4x4” land is how insanely natural it feels. There’s no trend-chasing or identity crisis here. Gideon knows exactly what they are, and instead of reinventing the wheel, they double down on the aggression and groove that made people gravitate toward them in the first place. F**k yes.
