POISON THE WELL ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM PEACE IN PLACE — FIRST NEW RECORD IN OVER 15 YEARS

Hardcore history just shifted. Poison the Well have officially announced their first new album in over 15 years. Titled Peace In Place, the record arrives March 20 via SharpTone Records, marking a major return for one of the most influential bands in modern hardcore and metalcore.

Alongside the announcement, the band shared a video for the new single “Thoroughbreds,” and it wastes no time making a statement. The track hits with controlled aggression, jagged riffs, and a sense of urgency that feels sharpened rather than nostalgic. It’s familiar in spirit but very much alive in the present.

The music video keeps things raw and symbolic. It cuts between the band performing live and striking imagery featuring a horse and a girl with blue hair, creating a surreal, almost dreamlike tension. The performance shots ground the song in Poison The Well’s physical intensity, while the symbolic moments add an emotional weight that lingers rather than explains itself outright.

With Peace In Place, Poison The Well aren’t chasing trends or rewriting their legacy. They’re continuing it on their own terms. After more than a decade away from releasing a full-length album, this return feels intentional, heavy, and earned. March 20 just became essential listening for anyone who grew up on hardcore and metalcore and never stopped caring.
