EZRA TRANSFORMS HIS SIGNATURE SOUND IN NEW SINGLE “GLASS HOUSE (FT. BRADEN BALES)”

LA-based New Yorker Ezra has made giant strides since his initial label debut. Now, he stands tall as a more confident version of himself, with collaborators helping him curate the best soundscape for his music to live in. His latest single, “glass house (ft. Braden Bales),” is a gargantuan departure from his first EP, ‘appreciate the small things,’— in the best way possible.

This single-name artist is heavily influenced by the SoundCloud rap era. However, it only shows in his vulnerable lyric themes, especially as “glass house” teeters towards hyperpop, infused with ear-splitting electric guitars. The mix integrates electronic and “real” instruments to get Ezra’s point across. It punctuates a healthy blend; sure, it’s aesthetically pleasing. But the contrast is sonically engaging, encouraging listeners to press repeat.

Ezra’s potential far exceeds his industry years. His passion for music is unbridled, showcased in everything he releases. Each new drop is better than the last, with “glass house( ft. Braden Bales) getting an audible “wow” from me.

Braden Bales’ feature drives each lyrical theme home, especially for such a transitional period for Ezra’s music. The feature is also a nice call-back to Ezra’s rap roots.

“glass house (ft. Braden Bales)” shows Ezra at his best. Though he’s still growing, he’s matured immensely in a short time. It’s only uphill for him from here.

Now—where is the freaking ALBUM?!
