EXTRA SPACE'S NEW SINGLE "PACE" IS EXPANSIVE JOURNEY STRETCHING THE PARAMETERS OF INDIE ROCK

Extra Space’s first single, “Pace” is a trippy, cosmic exploration of sound. Melodic, intricate guitar lines permeate the free-form song with scatter-shot drum beats, fills, and parts. The result is both cohesive and improvisational. Vocals take a backseat to atmospheric, stylized sound, feeling more laid back, and just chill. There are lyrics but they are abstract and come as across vague. The listener really has to make an effort to decipher the words and context in which they are framed. “Extra Space” is really a taste of what’s to come as part of a bigger project, Pace’s forthcoming debut album, “Green Season” by Joey Puleio and Chris Kyle. This single shows an ambitious musical prowess with a lot of interesting dissonant and shifting dynamics within the confines of a three-minute plus song.
