Los Angeles-based band Rocket has unveiled their latest single, “One Million,” marking a significant milestone as their first release since signing with Transgressive Records. This track also coincides with the reissue of their debut EP, Versions of You, introducing a fresh chapter in their musical journey.

“One Million” delves into the complexities of unreciprocated love and the yearning for emotional connection. The band describes it as “about wanting someone to meet you halfway but not knowing if they ever will.” The lyrics express the willingness to wait endlessly for someone to recognize their importance, encapsulating the hope and acceptance that sometimes love is not equally returned.

Musically, the track is a fusion of grunge-inspired guitar riffs and dynamic drumming, creating an atmospheric backdrop for Alithea Tuttle’s evocative vocals. The accompanying music video complements the song's emotional depth, featuring the band performing in a setting that mirrors the song's introspective tone.

In addition to the new single, Rocket have announced their first-ever U.S. headlining tour set to commence this October. Before this, they will join Mannequin Pussy for a series of European dates and embark on their own UK headline shows in June. The band is also slated to support The Smashing Pumpkins during their UK performances in August.

With “One Million,” Rocket continue to solidify their presence in the alternative rock scene, offering a track that resonates with emotional authenticity and musical prowess.
