DINOSAUR JR. RETURN WITH EXPLOSIVE NEW SINGLE "BLOWIN' UP"

Dinosaur Jr. have released their latest single, "Blowin' Up," offering another taste of their highly anticipated new album, There Near, due out August 28 via Jagjaguwar.
The track finds the iconic trio doing exactly what they've done best for decades. J Mascis' unmistakable guitar tone soars over pounding rhythms and melodic hooks, delivering the perfect blend of fuzz, melody, and raw emotion that has made Dinosaur Jr. one of alternative rock's most influential bands.
"Blowin' Up" continues to build anticipation for There Near, the band's first new studio album since 2021's Sweep It Into Space. While remaining true to the sound that helped define the alternative rock movement, the new single proves Dinosaur Jr. still have plenty left to say more than 40 years into their career.
Fans won't have to wait long to hear the new material live. Dinosaur Jr. are currently on the road for a co-headline tour with Band of Horses, before launching a headlining run across North America later this fall in support of There Near.
With There Near arriving in just a few weeks, "Blowin' Up" serves as another reminder that Dinosaur Jr.'s unmistakable blend of distortion, melody, and heartfelt songwriting remains as compelling today as ever.
