DEAF ECHO RELEASES INDIE ROCK DREAM “TALKING AROUND”
Los Angeles-based duo Deaf Echo released their new single, “Talking Around,” a dreamy indie pop masterpiece. This one genre-bends rock, pop, and new wave into a build-up of catchy melodies and a soft shoegaze outro. Hammoud’s signature velvety layered vocals will lull you into a world of sparkly guitars and a moody, spacious atmosphere that will have you deep in thought as you accidentally find yourself driving down your ex’s old street at 2 a.m.
Brooding lyrics about past love and failed relationships - this one starts strong, “Chalk it to vows to break when spoken, I take it like a graze on the mouth. Will I get nowhere banking on when you told me ‘there’s no way of knowing fate’?”
Yeah…Right in the HEART.
Comprised of Lebanese-American singer and songwriter Amir Hammoud and Mexican-American multi-instrumentalist Jesús Omar Lopez, this duo has found a way to combine their musical influences to perfectly scratch that same itch as early Death Cab for Cutie, Arctic Monkeys, and The Smiths.
“Talking Around” is their 4th single of consistent nostalgic indie-rock tunes, and we’re looking forward to the next!
