CROSSING I’S DOTTING T’S RETURN WITH A NEW SINGLE “YOU, IN EVERYTHING” AHEAD OF EMO NITE PERFORMANCE
SoCal hardcore group Crossing i’s Dotting t’s gave themselves a tongue-twister of a name. However, their music absolutely shreds, including their new single, “You, In Everything.” They’re gearing up for a performance at Emo Nite on January 31st (upstairs in Bardot!), and this song will fit right in with that crowd.
The song starts slower, with a gradual build guiding the way. It follows a traditional hardcore format, with familiar chord progressions and guitar tones sprinkled throughout. It’s equally melodic and heavy, fitting in perfectly with the rest of Emo Nite’s playlists.
Clean lead vocals glide over each verse and chorus while a healthy scream rages on periodically. These intentional choices add depth to the song, especially as the lyrics become more vulnerable. It’s a great way to capture the feeling of screaming out for help—only for no one to hear you.
Another great touch: the band says “I fall down” six times throughout the song, tying back into the “six missed calls” while they were asleep. That is some clever writing!
Overall, Crossing i’s Dotting t’s has a unique style that showcases just enough familiarity without feeling stale. Their song, “You, In Everything,” is perfectly (emo)tional, encouraging listeners to embrace their vulnerable side.
