CITIZEN SHARE NEW SINGLE "GOOD FORTUNE" AHEAD OF HALCYON BLUES

Citizen are back with another emotionally charged offering, unveiling their brand new single and accompanying music video for "Good Fortune." The release serves as the final preview of the band's highly anticipated new album, Halcyon Blues, which arrives August 7 via Run For Cover Records.
Throughout their career, Citizen have continually evolved beyond their melodic hardcore roots, embracing lush alternative rock, shoegaze textures, and introspective songwriting without ever losing the emotional honesty that made fans connect with them in the first place. "Good Fortune" continues that evolution, pairing soaring melodies with layered guitars and reflective lyricism that feels equally uplifting and bittersweet.
The accompanying music video leans fully into Citizen's quirky side, following an unexpected cast of characters that includes a bunny and a wizard who looks like he walked straight out of The Lord of the Rings. The surreal visuals add a playful contrast to the song's reflective tone, making for one of the band's most memorable and imaginative videos to date.
With Halcyon Blues just days away, "Good Fortune" feels like the perfect final chapter before the full story unfolds. If the previously released singles are any indication, Citizen's latest record is shaping up to be one of the band's most mature and sonically adventurous releases to date.
The album's arrival also marks the beginning of an extensive run of tour dates across the globe. Citizen will embark on a North American tour alongside Anxious, Hotline TNT, Rocket, and Cryingogeyser, before heading overseas for U.K. and European dates with Modern Color and thistle. The band will then wrap up the year in Australia alongside Drug Church, bringing Halcyon Blues to audiences worldwide.
More than a decade into their career, Citizen continue to prove they're never content standing still. "Good Fortune" is another compelling reminder that the band remains one of alternative music's most consistently evolving and emotionally resonant acts.
