BIG SLEEP MAKE A STRIKING FIRST IMPRESSION WITH DEBUT ALBUM ‘HOLY SHOW’ AND STANDOUT SINGLE “BRUISER”
Dublin-based indie rock band Big Sleep just dropped their debut album ‘Holy Show’ on February 20th, featuring the single “Bruiser” as well as nine other tracks to explore.
The entire album explores soulful words and energetic beats that make you want to move in some way. “Bruiser” in particular has a lead-in beat that one can easily tap along to. This track is one of the more rhythm-heavy of the album, standing out amongst its sister tracks while still thematically making sense.
The most interesting aspect of this song is the back-and-forth dialogue between two voices. It is the only song on the record to utilize the dynamic. With the album’s title “Holy Show” referring to a “messy situation” or “the kind of scene you cannot quite look away from”, this track definitely encapsulates that idea even on a passing listen.
Big Sleep just finished their in-store tour across a handful of record stores in the UK, but they will be back on tour in Ireland this April with an additional date at the end of May!
