The evolution of artistry is no small feat, and when it comes to pursuing your passions. When it comes to following your dreams, it's a no brainer for Kiara Bell, the mastermind behind the lo-fi rock artist Babyfat. After graduating from college and getting their B.A in English, the soundscape artist decided that she would take the inspiration she got from interviewing a diverse array of professional musicians and pursue guitar and songwriting. Her latest songs reflect underground indie rock and dream pop, emphasizing the most basic human need: companionship. Enter her newest single "Tell It To Me".

"The intro to "Tell It To Me" is actually inspired by the intro to Nirvana's cover of "The Man Who Sold The World" by David Bowie", says Babyfat. "It's one of my favorite songs ever. Almost everything else in this song was written in 2018 after a failed summer fling". That's exactly what we hear at the beginning of "Tell It To Me". The song gives you a small taste of nostalgia, slowly letting you ease in, till suddenly a groovy bassline and distorted synths come into the scene. The vocals give such an urban twist to the original chord progressions taking this song to a completely new level, you can't even compete with Babyfat's creativity on this song.

Babyfat takes the past and pairs it with the present in such an impressive way. This new sexy single will be sprinkled through playlists for times to come and will inspire others to pursue their dreams in creative outlets.
