ANOTHER DAY RELEASES “MERRY GO ROUND” BEFORE UPCOMING EP
From London’s booming underground music scene, Another Day has given us another energetic and emotional single, “Merry Go Round”. This one is such a fun indie-rock tune that will have your head bopping and body moving the whole time, pulling you in with some catchy and classic group vox “la da da’s” that can grab just about anyone’s attention. With abrupt (yet still impressively smooth) tempo changes into its chorus, its extreme highs and super chill melodic lows match the lyrical sentiment to an impressive and creative extent. The band tells us: “Merry Go Round is capturing the cyclical highs and lows of being in a band. The sudden and unexpected change of tempo ramps up the infectious energy in the track and then, just as suddenly, drops down again to take you on a rollercoaster.”
This song was for sure a roller coaster, one you’ll want to ride again as soon as it’s over, with relatable cynical lyrics like “friends are your enemies in this world, take everything with a pinch of salt”, before giving us the euphoria of the chorus and post-chorus.
This one is for fans of The Clash and Sex Pistols. If you dig this single, you’ll be happy to know the band's debut EP “Doghouse Roses” is dropping March 21st, and we are surely expected to be spoiled by their energetic and classic deliveries thus far!
