ALEX HENRY FOSTER DROPS STUNNING POST-ROCK ANTHEM “CALLING OUT!”

Canadian post-rock wizard Alex Henry Foster has just released a spacey new rock ‘n’ roll epic titled “Calling Out!” The new track is the second single from Foster’s upcoming album, The Fragile Beauty (Of New Morning Hopes), due out October 30th.

Kicking things off with a tour de force rhythm section and some truly hypnotic guitar work, Foster takes all of thirty seconds before throwing some diabolical changes into the mix. The snare drum snaps your attention in one direction, while a snazzy horn section pulls your ears somewhere else entirely.

Packed with infectious grooves, odd-time instrumental flourishes, and Foster’s raspy yet surprisingly sing-along-worthy vocals, “Calling Out!” constantly twists and shifts without ever losing its momentum. There’s a controlled unpredictability to the whole thing, with each new layer adding to the song’s sprawling, almost cinematic atmosphere.

It’s strange, ambitious, hypnotic, and unmistakably Foster. “Calling Out!” feels like a wildly distinctive rock jam built to get lost in.
