PURITY RING ANNOUNCE SELF-TITLED ALBUM, NEW SINGLE “PLACE OF MY OWN,” + FALL 2025 HEADLINE TOUR
After years of crafting synth-laced dreamscapes and emotionally stirring soundwaves, Canadian duo Purity Ring have announced their long-awaited self-titled album, Purity Ring, set to release on September 26 via their own label. The new record marks their first full-length project since 2020’s WOMB, and serves as both a reinvention and a deepening of their signature sound.
To celebrate the announcement, the band has also shared a brand new single titled “place of my own” — a shimmering, melancholic track that blends haunting lyricism with celestial production. The single immediately recalls the duo’s early work, yet feels evolved and bolder, with Megan James’ vocals floating above Corin Roddick’s layered and emotionally-charged electronics. It’s ethereal, introspective, and hauntingly catchy — exactly the kind of sonic world Purity Ring has always excelled at creating.
Alongside the album reveal and single drop, Purity Ring also unveiled a full North American headline tour for fall 2025. The run kicks off shortly after the album’s release, promising fans an immersive experience that brings the new material — and old favorites — to life in dazzling fashion. Known for their stunning visuals and immersive live production, this tour is poised to be one of their most ambitious yet.
The self-titled album marks a pivotal moment in the band’s creative arc — a confident reassertion of their identity and artistry after more than a decade in the game. If “place of my own” is any indication of what’s to come, Purity Ring is bound to be a stunning return to form, full of glittering dread and emotional catharsis.
Purity Ring drops September 26. Stream “place of my own” now — and don’t sleep on tour tickets, coming soon.
