THE PLOT IN YOU DROP “YOU GET ONE” AND LOCK IN NEW ALBUM THE VOLUMES SERIES
The Plot In You are back with a new track, “You Get One,” and it hits like a statement more than just another single.
Released alongside a new music video directed by George Gallardo Kattah, the track feels like a culmination of everything the band has been building over the past few years. It doesn’t waste time either. It comes in tense and immediate, blending glitchy electronics with driving heaviness and a sense of unease that lingers long after it ends.
Vocally, Landon Tewers leans hard into contrast. The song shifts between eerie restraint and full intensity, mirroring its themes. As Tewers explains:
“A meditation on current society. Up is down, down is up. Nothing is what it seems we often forget what it means to be human.”
There’s something cold and mechanical underneath it all, but it never loses the emotional weight the band is known for. It’s heavy in a way that sticks with you, not just sonically, but mentally.
That tension carries over into the video as well, mirroring the track’s unsettling tone without overcomplicating things. It’s clean, direct, and fits the song perfectly.
The band has also confirmed a July 10 release date for their new album, The Volumes Series, via Fearless Records. There’s a twist, though. The record compiles the various singles and EPs they’ve dropped over the past year, with only one of the 12 tracks still unreleased, its title being kept under wraps for now.
Pre-orders are available now via theplotinyou.ffm.to/st, marking the official rollout of this next chapter.
