DON BROCO LINKS UP WITH NICKELBACK FOR “NIGHTMARE TRIPPING”
WORDS BY STEPH
UK alt-rock disruptors Don Broco are back, and they did not ease into 2026. For the first time since November 2025, the band has returned with new music, and this time they have teamed up with none other than Nickelback for one of the most unexpected collaborations of the year.
The new single “Nightmare Tripping” arrived on February 12, 2026, following a cryptic teaser that quickly escalated into a full cinematic video release. It marks the band’s first track of the new year and their first-ever collaboration, hinting at a bold new chapter that feels darker, louder, and more unhinged.
The video leans heavily into psychological horror. Viewers are hit with flashes of insects, blood, shattered mirrors, and long stretches of a deserted highway swallowed by night. We move between stark, grayscale performance shots of the band and a parallel color storyline of a late-night drive through empty roads. The tension builds steadily before snapping into a near collision with a lone figure standing in the middle of the darkness, blurring the line between reality and paranoia.
Sonically, “Nightmare Tripping” matches the chaos on screen. The instrumentals feel urgent and volatile, with driving riffs and a restless pulse underneath. Lyrically, the track explores the fallout of a failed relationship and the mental spiral that follows. It captures guilt, confusion, and emotional wreckage with a hook that refuses to let go.
“Nightmare Tripping” will be available everywhere on streaming platforms at 9 PM PT.
