The Devil Wears Prada are entering a bold new chapter. Today, the veteran metalcore band announced their ninth studio album, Flowers, which will arrive on November 14 via Solid State Records. Along with the news, the band dropped two brand new tracks — “Where The Flowers Never Grow” and “Wave” — plus an accompanying short film, That Same Place Where The Flowers Never Grow.

Frontman Jeremy DePoyster explains the deeply personal meaning behind “Where The Flowers Never Grow”:

“It’s about the realization that no matter how good things may look from the outside, there can still be darkness inside your mind — that place where flowers never grow. The hours spent away from the stage and the lights can feel isolating. My hope is that listeners hear this song and feel seen, that they’re not alone in those dark corners.”

The short film, directed with the same title as the single, offers a cinematic companion to the record’s themes of struggle, reflection, and growth. Fans can watch it now alongside the new tracks.

Speaking on the record as a whole, DePoyster describes Flowers as a culmination of two decades of experimentation and survival:

“This is 20 years into a journey. The highs, the lows, the chaos of life. This is us at our peak — in songwriting, in lyricism, in authenticity — and it’s our attempt to connect with anyone else who feels the same way.”

The announcement caps off an already huge year for The Devil Wears Prada. Their single “For You” recently became their first-ever track to chart on both Mediabase and Billboard’s Active Rock charts. They’ve just wrapped the Summer of Loud amphitheater tour and are already gearing up for a massive run of international dates. That includes shows in Australia with Bullet For My Valentine, a South African headline run, a European trek with Ice Nine Kills and Creeper, plus festival appearances at Warped Tour Orlando this November and the Emo’s Not Dead Cruise in January.

With Flowers, The Devil Wears Prada prove that twenty years in, they’re still pushing boundaries and still finding new ways to connect.
