Puscifer return with “Impetuous,” a brooding new track from their forthcoming album Normal Isn’t. The song unfolds patiently, built on tension, atmosphere, and a slow-burning sense of unease that pulls the listener in rather than overwhelming them.
“Impetuous” favors restraint over force, layering pulsing rhythms, shadowy electronics, and subtle melodic shifts beneath measured vocals. Even its quieter moments feel charged, creating a hypnotic push and pull that lingers long after the track ends.
The accompanying visualizer offers a first look at Puscifer’s upcoming comic book series, Tales From The Pusciverse, spotlighting Bellendia Black, a character first introduced in the “Pendulum” video. The visual adds another layer to the band’s expanding mythology, reinforcing Puscifer’s commitment to storytelling that stretches beyond music alone.
As a preview of Normal Isn’t, “Impetuous” signals a record rooted in mood and intention. It’s immersive, deliberate, and unmistakably Puscifer, continuing the project’s tradition of crafting experiences that reward patience and repeat listens.
“Impetuous” arrives ahead of Normal Isn’t, which is set for release on February 6 via Puscifer Entertainment, Alchemy Recordings, and BMG, marking the next chapter in the band’s ever-expanding creative universe.
