JUST LIKE HEAVEN FESTIVAL RETURNS TO PASADENA WITH THE STROKES SET TO HEADLINE

Indie rock fans, mark your calendars. Just Like Heaven Festival is officially returning on Saturday, August 22, taking over Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, for another full day of nostalgia, sing-alongs, and some of the most beloved bands of the 2000s indie era.

Leading the charge this year are The Strokes, one of the most influential rock bands of the modern indie movement. Since bursting onto the scene with their landmark debut, Is This It, in 2001, the New York outfit has remained a defining force in alternative rock, shaping the sound and style of an entire generation of bands that followed.

“We are looking forward to getting back to Pasadena to play at the Just Like Heaven Festival later this summer,” said Nikolai Fraiture of The Strokes.

Their appearance at Just Like Heaven is expected to be one of the festival’s most anticipated moments, giving fans a chance to hear classics like “Last Nite,” “Someday,” and “Reptilia” live under the Southern California sun.

The stacked lineup doesn’t stop there. LCD Soundsystem, TV Girl, Chromeo, The Rapture, Feist, Twin Peaks, Matt and Kim, Dayglow, and Ekkstacy are all set to perform, bringing together a mix of indie rock, dance-punk, electro-funk, and modern alternative favorites. Festival organizers also promise more artists to be announced.

Adding to the atmosphere, Los Angeles nightlife staple A Club Called Rhonda will return to the festival grounds, bringing its signature dancefloor energy and keeping the party going all day long.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the Rose Bowl grounds, Just Like Heaven has built a reputation for curating lineups that celebrate the golden era of indie and alternative music. Past editions have featured artists that helped define the 2000s blog-rock explosion and the indie revival movement, turning the festival into something of a yearly reunion for fans who grew up on those records.
