Seven albums, two decades, and one Grammy later, legendary progressive rock band Mastodon is releasing a compilation LP, Medium Rarities. Comprising of four original songs, five live songs, four instrumental songs, and three covers, Medium Rarities will be released on September 11, 2020, by Reprise Records.

Indie-pop hitmaker Aaron Taos returns with a re-work of his track “Loneliness”. This time Taos teams up with the spill tab to reimagine the song and provide a new hypnotic feel with “Loneliness Pt. II”.

LA multi-instrumentalist and producer, Dorvin Borman returns with his second psych-soaked single of the year “Feel You, Feel Me”. Borman comes off the back of his most successful single to date “Everyone Lied” to produce yet another pleasant-sounding dream-pop record.

“Change My Mind” sees Fuller take a slightly different approach holding back on his post-punk influences tackling a more traditional pop sound. “Change My Mind” begins purposefully rising to introduce a steady beat, pulsating synths and an infectiously catchy plucked guitar. Fuller’s vocal performance is well crafted and witty while the instrumental backdrop resonates a danceable indie synth-pop vibe similar to that of The Killers.

Waker Glass brings their A-game on their new single, “Voice Your Suspicions.” This Southern California based indie rock squadron channel all sorts of post-punk vibes on this track. Like a vengeful Interpol, traveling through space; “Voice Your Suspicions” is packed to the brim with thumping bass lines, nuanced guitar work, galloping drums; lots of outer space/sci-fi sound effects; and perhaps the most unlikely catchy chorus of 2020: “Maybe I’m a sociopath!” There’s so much to unpack in this modern rock smash you’ll probably need more than a few listens.

Shockey is a multitalented, Los Angeles based indie rocking, rap sensation. Equal parts Sublime, equal parts Wiz Khalifa, Shockey is the perfect amalgamation of Southern California’s eclectic/diverse stoner culture. The music has a laid back, lightly swung kind of feel, while Shockey’s playful vocal delivery and the video’s barrage of dazzling images compiled together…just might make you feel, high.

Kuwalla is a remarkable new LA-based indie/alternative rock outfit. They’ve just blessed the interwebz with a kick-ass new music video for their track, “Sea Creature.” It’s a performance vid, featuring each member rocking out to their up-tempo new single. We’re talking lots of guitars, catchy vocals, full ahead drums, and snazzy camera moves galore!

Vola Tila is a rad new, Swedish indie-pop duo, with an aptly titled new single, “Spaced Out.” This track offers a glimpse of the awesomeness from the band’s upcoming debut album and is basically four and a half minutes of sonic delight. Part indie rock, part psychedelic throwback, part existential/spacey voyage into another dimension, Vola Tila meld hooks with stellar compositions.

Castells are a 4-piece Indie-rock quartet crafting large energetic sound with driving choruses, punchy guitars, and powerful melodies. The Kent-based indie-rockers have now released their single “Viola” marking a new chapter for the band and the start of a multi-month campaign featuring a string of new singles.

Leeds trio, Honeycub comprised of Ollie Wilson (Vocals/Guitar), Eddie Dawson (Bass) and Charlie Lord (Drums) have been developing their ‘21st Century Grunge’ sound over the last couple of years citing influences from acts such as Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age. The group have now released their new single, “Nothing Changes” speaking on the monotony of routine whilst delivering a powerful and hard-hitting record.

Russian duo Ungs have now dropped their new single “Uncover” following the release of their most successful track to date “Wonderful time”, which was released earlier this year. “Uncover” starts mellow and dreamy in tone yet dynamic in percussion with the drums resembling that of an 80’s ballad. The track remains mainly downtempo throughout but is rich in production which consistently develops over the course of the song.
