ZØYA RETURNS WITH ELECTRO-POP SINGLE “IT’S ALRIGHT”

Zoya aims to invigorate spirits with her latest single, “It’s Alright,” for those with a Sia-sized void in their heart. Though not my usual cup of tea, there is undoubtedly an audience for Zoya’s middle-ground takes on modern politics. Many are hopeful for a world that can one day see peace.

Admittedly, this kind of track isn’t in my regular arsenal. However, I admire intense artistry where it counts—politics and policy aside. “It’s Alright” features a full mix with a solid vocal performance at the song's forefront. The lyrics are perhaps a bit passive, but Zoya is impressive as a lyricist despite being a non-native English speaker. Her dedication seems genuine, and though I may be a jaded journalist, perhaps she honestly believes that “it’s gonna be alright.” Or, conversely, maybe she is attempting to convince herself that, too.

Broadening your horizons is said to open the mind. While I may not be Zoya’s target audience, I can appreciate her dedication to her craft and political beliefs. I’m a huge admirer of anyone who puts their money where their mouth is, and Zoya backs “It’s Alright” up with groundwork in her daily life.

Still, Zoya’s vocal performance is spectacular. It’s lovely that she has found an outlet to express herself, and hopefully, the right audience finds “It’s Alright.” It could comfort many.
