Proper Youth are a dazzling dream pop trio with an epic new single/music video titled “Modern Cowboy” that’s ready to hijack your senses. Musically, “Modern Cowboy” is a miraculous little tune. It’s five minutes of hazy dream pop meets indie rock, filled with immaculate guitar tones, haunting vocals, a gnarly saxophone solo, and a wee bit of guitar twang lurching in the background that sells the Southwestern cowboy vibe. Visually, Proper Youth’s new video is a captivating, cinematic jam session, showcasing the band rocking out with additional supporting players, awash in red and purple lights, in a fever-dream studio locale.
