ZEROBRIDGE RETURN W/ POLITICALLY CHARGED ROCK ANTHEM “REFUGEE CITIZEN”
Zerobridge was a New York-based indie rock band comprised of brothers Mubashir Mohi-ud-Din, aka "Din" [songwriter, lead singer, guitars] and Mohsin Mohi-ud-Din [drums]. After splitting in 2017, the band reunited in 2019 to play a benefit concert protesting oppression in Kashmir. Now, in 2024, the band has returned once again to rerecord their old track “Refugee Citizen” and express solidarity with Palestinians as they endure a live-streamed 21st-century genocide. Zerobridge ramps up their performances with unbridled passion in this tune. The drums are wildly hammering while the guitars sneak bits of melodies between Din’s inspiring howl during the chorus, repeating the phrase “We’re not leaving!” After one spin, it’s evident that the themes of human rights and international justice are essential for Zerobridge. Hopefully, this booming song helps spread awareness of this worthy cause.
