YUKON BLONDE VENTURE INTO DREAMY PSYCHEDELIA WITH NEW SINGLE “YOU WERE MINE”

Yukon Blonde are continuing their fierce musical return of 2020 with their new single “You Were Mine”. Earlier this year the group released “Get Precious” which found itself climbing to No.2 on the CBS Music Top 20. This was closely followed by the single “In Love Again” which features keyboardist/vocalist Rebecca Gray taking over the lead for the first time in the band's history.

With “You Were Mine” the group dive into a hazy yet hard-hitting psychedelic sound. The new single begins driving a steady rock-beat as the foundation for the overlaid dynamic piano chords and infectious group vocals, resonating similarly to that of Little Dragon. “You Were Mine” is unafraid to change form, building up the depths of musical layers, varying in feel and timing with a hallucinogenic bridge before erupting into a groove-filled rocky climax. The result of this self-produced record is one of the bands most exciting and experimental endeavors to date.

If you are a fan of acts such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Tame Impala then this single is definitely for you. It is expertly put together and boasts a new era for Yukon Blonde. The new single will feature as part of their entirely self-produced fifth studio LP Vindicator out November 13, 2020. If the first three singles are anything to go by, the new album is going to be a special release for the Vancouver-rockers.
