DEAFHEAVEN BRING BEAUTY AND CHAOS TO RIVERSIDE WITH HARMS WAY ON THEIR “LONELY PEOPLE WITH POWER” TOUR
Deafheaven, the expressive band everyone wants to hear live. The crowd gathered at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium to see these striking musicians, Deafheaven and Harm’s Way. Deafheaven, having released a new album in March 2025, is currently celebrating by touring with Harms Way and I Promised The World. A majority of their fans are stunned by this new album, “Lonely People With Power,” which is heavier than their previous record, “Infinite Granite.” It is safe to say this tour is a hit for a vast range of musicians. Some were hardcore moshing, while some ran in the circle pit.
First, Harms Way took the stage, sending the crowd into a chaotic hardcore dancing, two-stepping, metalcore jumble. Flashing lights and violent riffs, their menacing sound crushed the entire venue’s atmosphere.
Deafheaven’s new album hit the crowd with beautiful melodies and swift percussion, similar to their very popular album Sunbather. When “Winona” came on, their fans roared and jumped around sporadically! The lighting during their performance was beautiful: purple, aquamarine, pink, red —all the colors you can imagine were lighting up the room! The crowd looked like flowers in the beautiful lights, all whilst the band screamed bittersweet lyrics.
