TWIABP ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ‘DREAMS OF BEING DUST’ OUT AUGUST 22 VIA EPITAPH

The beloved post-rock/emo collective The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die is back with a brand-new full-length album, Dreams of Being Dust, set to arrive on August 22 via Epitaph Records. The band also dropped the lead single “Se Sufre Pero Se Goza,” giving listeners their first taste of the expansive and emotionally rich sonic terrain the new album promises to explore.

A band known for weaving existential reflection with cathartic crescendos, TWIABP once again steps into their trademark territory—this time sounding even more evolved and sonically fearless. “Se Sufre Pero Se Goza” (which roughly translates to “You suffer but you enjoy”) is a sprawling, dynamic track that mixes melancholy and euphoria in equal measure. There’s a sense of motion throughout the song—a swirling momentum driven by layered guitars, intricate rhythms, and soaring vocal interplay.

Lyrically, the song dances between vulnerability and defiance. It doesn’t offer clean resolutions, but instead embraces the complexities of existing in a fractured world—where grief, joy, pain, and growth coexist in messy, beautiful tandem. It’s a reflection of the band's ethos and a bold opening statement for what’s to come.

Dreams of Being Dust marks a new chapter for the Connecticut-based outfit. Following the deeply personal and widely acclaimed Illusory Walls, the new record leans into themes of memory, mortality, and the passage of time with a renewed sense of clarity and purpose. The album was self-produced by the band, offering a rawer, more intimate sound that still carries the cinematic weight fans have come to expect.

Whether you’ve been following TWIABP since their early Whenever, If Ever days or you’re just now discovering their sprawling discography, Dreams of Being Dust looks to be a stunning, sonically textured journey worth taking.

Stream “Se Sufre Pero Se Goza” now and pre-order the album ahead of its August release.
