Will Curren has hooks for days on his new smash, “Heard Ya Humming.” This surprisingly punchy indie rock jam packs a sonic wallop, yet still sounds warm and inviting at the same time. How Curren has made a trippy, lo-fi ditty that borders on the realm of heavy and psychedelic, is beyond our mortal comprehension. This track’s guitars sound golden, the drums pop/boom in all the right spots, the bass lumbers in tandem with that lockstep kick drum groove, and Curren’s vocals are the perfect blend of indie rock every man meets alt-rock arena gig sing-along.
