WILD ARROW'S NEW SINGLE "GOLD IDES" IS IN FULL BLOOM

From the very first second of the song “Gold Ides” by Wild Arrows, the listener is reeled into an indie/pop rock anthem. This new single follows up on their album ‘Loving The Void’, which was released earlier this year. Mike Law of Wild Arrows is a passionate, hands-on artist who wants to create songs that have value and emotion. 

The lyrics speak of a complicated relationship where being alone is favored over being with someone. “Gold Ides, I'm sorry that I love you; I just made a mistake; I'd rather be alone.”

The song is best listened to in your headphones while laying on your bed thinking about a crush you wish you didn't like, or perhaps even while sitting in traffic and screaming out the lyrics “GOLD IDES” to the car in front of you.
The song feels like it's been put in fast motion, which excites the listener and builds up the various chords being played. My favorite line of the song has to be, “Because, in this human frame, I lost my shape again,” a line that speaks to anyone who has felt lost and unfamiliar with themselves. Although Wild Arrows sings of choosing to be alone, this track will make you feel less alone.
