WE ARE SCIENTISTS DELIVER STELLAR PERFORMANCE AT THE ROXY IN LOS ANGELES

WORDS AND PHOTOS BY NIKKI NEUMANN

The Roxy Theatre was in for a treat as We Are Scientists took the stage last Friday night. From the first chord to the final encore, the band's infectious bouncy energy and razor-sharp wit created an atmosphere that lingered long after the last note faded away.

The stage came alive as We Are Scientists unleashed a whirlwind of indie rock goodness. The chemistry between them was palpable, each riff delivered with a precision that only comes from years of musical camaraderie. The Roxy's intimate setting was the perfect canvas for their explosive performance, allowing the audience to feel every guitar lick and drumbeat as if it were coursing through their veins.

In between songs Keith Murray and Chris Cain enlightened us on their insights on life. Their banter felt like a conversation with old friends, creating an inviting and inclusive atmosphere that bridged the gap between the band and the audience.

The setlist was peppered with fan favorites like "Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt" and "The Great Escape" delivered with an intensity that only added to the live experience. They took us on a carefully curated journey through their discography, featuring tracks that seamlessly blended the nostalgic with the contemporary. “After Hours” was one of my favorite tracks they played. The Roxy pulsated with the rhythm of the crowd, a collective heartbeat that echoed the band's infectious enthusiasm.

We Are Scientists left no stone unturned, delivering an encore that was the cherry on top of an already stellar performance. They didn't just put on a show—they created an unforgettable experience.
