The legendary NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) pioneers Sweet Savage are officially back — and louder than ever. The band has announced their long-awaited new album Bang, set to drop on September 12. As a thunderous preview of what’s to come, Sweet Savage has unleashed the album’s title track, accompanied by a blistering new music video that’s already setting fire to screens and speakers.

The track “Bang” lives up to its name — it’s fast, heavy, and unapologetically ferocious, anchored by razor-sharp riffs and an electrifying rhythm section that proves the band hasn’t lost an ounce of their bite. There’s a raw, kinetic energy pulsing through every note, offering a modern edge while staying true to the band’s iconic roots.

For fans of classic British metal, this comeback marks a welcome return to form. Formed in Belfast in the late ‘70s and famously featuring the late, great Vivian Campbell (Dio, Def Leppard), Sweet Savage were one of the scene’s foundational bands — influencing countless acts along the way.

Now, decades later, the band is poised to remind a new generation of listeners exactly why their name still carries weight. Bang promises a full-throttle collection of new material, packed with the kind of no-nonsense metal that helped define a genre.

The video for “Bang” is just as high-octane as the song itself — gritty visuals, hard-hitting performance shots, and that classic metal attitude all wrapped into one hell of a package.

Watch the video for “Bang” now and prepare for the full album to land September 12. Sweet Savage is back — and they’re not holding back.
