TURN A BLIND EYE TO TRUTH IN NEW SINGLE FROM THE KING'S PARADE, "SISTER"
London's alt-pop quartet The King's Parade releases the musical counterpart to the previous single "Brother" with the new single "Sister". A song riddled with themes of loneliness and vulnerability that was very present in "Brother" but this time takes a direction of self-infliction with a storyline of stubbornness, refusing to move on from a past relationship. “Sister” opens up with raw vocals, sprinkled with piano chords, and the strum of an honest acoustic guitar. The song’s instrumental lets you focus in on the lyrics as you let the story take you.
"'Sister' is about turning a blind eye to the truth." Says frontman Olly Corpe. "At first it's easy to ignore but over time it consumes more and more of your thoughts until you're forced to face it. The only way is to keep pretending and bury it deep within your heart".
As you listen, sing along, pound your foot on the one, clap your hands on the two, and carry on.
