TIGER LA FLOR’S “SAVE A HORSE, BREAK A HEART” IS AN UNAPOLOGETIC COUNTRY-POP ANTHEM

There is a new boss in town, and her name is Tiger La Flor. The Hollywood, CA-based singer, Korean-American singer, songwriter, and guitarist is a rising indie star making a name for herself.

The sharpshooter is also kicking ass and taking numbers in “Save A Horse, Break A Heart.” Men are in her line of fire. La Flor is serving notice that she wants nothing serious from them.

Upon hearing La Flor’s new single, it’s hard not to draw a comparison to Elle King’s Ex’s And Oh’s.” La Flor also exhibits an aggressive, defiant, yet casual attitude toward the opposite sex. Tiger La Flor, like Elle King, knows what she wants and is not letting anything get or stand in her way.

Kacey Musgraves and Sabrina Carpenter are other artists similar in a musical vein to Tiger La Flor.

The cinematic video accompanying the attention-grabbing single has an artsy Western motif. La Flor doesn’t look at all like a traditional cowgirl. Instead, she is dressed in a corset and bustier, leather chaps, and vintage 1960s cats-eye sunglasses.

Despite all the tough talk, Tiger La Flore wistfully reveals she remembers a more innocent and hopeful time when she was in love, but now that has all changed. Now, she is more guarded and cynical, taking charge.

“Save A Horse, Break A Heart” is a fun and rollicking track about a good girl gone bad. It’s truly a wild ride in song you won’t soon forget.
