THE WANTON BISHOPS' NEW ROCK JAM "BEIRUT" RULES ON SO MANY LEVELS
Comin’ straight outta Beirut, Lebanese rock maestro Nader Mansour’s eclectic musical project, The Wanton Bishops have a stunning new jam appropriately titled, “Beirut,” that’s poised to rock your socks off. Influenced by American blues and the funkiest synths imaginable, The Wanton Bishops sound is like a futuristic throwback, it’s retro but modern, and it oozes old-school booty-shaking rock ‘n’ roll, but feels worldly and cosmopolitan at the same time. Maybe that’s because pulsating hi-hats, funked-out bass grooves, and wicked melodies are universal? Mr. Mansour’s vocals also sound timeless, like a 4K restoration of a 1970’s vinyl recording. “Beirut” has a little something for everyone, unless of course…you don’t like music. But then you probably wouldn’t be reading this ol’ music blog now would ya?!
