THE UNCRTN ENTER THE MACHINE WITH DEBUT EP AND NEW SINGLE ‘BAD FOR ME’

New York City alt-metal outfit THE UNCRTN have officially arrived with their debut EP, MACHINE, out today.

Rather than simply introducing themselves with a handful of songs, THE UNCRTN have gone considerably bigger, building an entire dystopian world around their debut. MACHINE blends the band’s heavy alternative and pop-metal sound with a story of surveillance, control, and rebellion that feels increasingly less like science fiction the longer you think about it.

At the center of MACHINE is The Drifter, a dystopian rebel living under the control of a Big Brother-esque regime known as The Machine. Refusing to simply exist under its watch, The Drifter leads a resistance known as The Coalition on a mission to bring the system down.

The story might be fictional, but the frustration behind it is very real.

At its core, MACHINE reflects a society where privacy keeps disappearing, and surveillance has become an almost accepted part of everyday life. THE UNCRTN take that growing sense of being watched, manipulated, and deceived and turn it into the foundation of their own world.

Tyler Magrone comments, “Our debut EP “MACHINE” is a concept EP that follows The Drifter, a dystopian rebel who leads a resistance known as ‘The Coalition’ on a journey to take down the Big Brother-esque regime of ‘The Machine.’ With the help of long-time friend and producer Nor Omar, alongside Ricky Armellino (Ice Nine Kills, HAWK)  and Jake Clark, we created a record to inspire a generation to live life on their terms.”

The final piece of that story arrives today with “BAD FOR ME,” featuring Ricky Armellino of Ice Nine Kills and HAWK. The track is accompanied by a mixed-media official music video, giving the final installment another visual dimension as THE UNCRTN bring the world of MACHINE fully to life.

Armellino also helped produce the EP alongside Jake Clark and Nor Omar, giving THE UNCRTN a production team with credits spanning Ice Nine Kills, Currents, Starset, HAWK, If Not For Me, Awake At Last, Outlier, Advents and Take The Name.

For a debut, MACHINE is a pretty damn ambitious introduction. And with the EP now out in the world, the resistance has officially begun.
