The Great Indoors has a seductive new single titled, “Her” that is all but guaranteed to knock your socks off. This alt-rock meets sly indie number feels like a holdover from a secret summer rendezvous that refused to end with the changing seasons. The guitar tones are sultry, the vocals are inviting, and the drums snap in all the right spots if one were so inclined this track could be used for baby-making music exclusively and no one would bat an eye. The surprisingly heavy element stems from the simple synth line from the song’s opening moments that are repurposed two other times throughout its runtime into one of the gnarliest, lumbering bass riffs in human history. You really need to hear this sucker to fully understand how wild this accomplishment is.
