Wow. Newcomer Suzy Clue goes hard and by hard we mean damn near apeshit on her first single, “Remember Me.” This approx. four-minute shoegaze meets grunge epic is designed to hit you in all the feels. The song’s melancholy intro brings loads of introspection, before the distorted riffs and pounding drum work brings loads of uncontrolled headbanging. “Remember Me” is like a tug of war between serene guitar tones and walls of distorted riffs, between intricate ghost notes on the snare and absolutely pummeling kick drums, all held together by Suzy Clue’s inviting meets torturous vocal performance. Again, how is this only her first single?!
