The Norwegian indie sensations in Stillehavet have truly outdone themselves. The band’s new single, “Gaia” is the sweetest, most soul-fulfilling slice of sonic heaven you’ll hear all season. As the world continues to darken amidst a global pandemic and the onset of winter in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s fitting that the band’s new track, named after the ancient Greek personification/deity of Earth, hits the airwaves in time to warm our collective hearts. This jam is an epic six minutes and thirty seconds of funky drums, groovy basslines, haunting keys, and absolutely dreamy vocals. Strap on your best set of headphones and let this one just wash over you. There are so many layers of A+ instrumentation on this song, one spin will not be enough.
