SPILL, DANCE, REFINE UNLEASH ALT-ROCK BANGER “THAT’S NOT REAL”

Spill, Dance, Refine is a boisterous new rock band whose latest single, “That’s Not Real,” brings monster riffs back in a big way. Despite its title, SDR’s new jam has a killer sound/vibe that is very real. Crunchy guitars, thick bass grooves, and airtight drums propel the band’s alt-rock meets metal sound into the stratosphere. The song’s laid-back vocals juxtapose the monster guitar tone, neck-snapping ride cymbal, and hi-hat abuse on display throughout the track’s runtime. The hooks and song structure are familiar with alternative rock staples, but it’s executed with almost metal-like ferocity. Imagine re-discovering early Queens of The Stone Age for the first time or unearthing a new genre: Grunge squared, and you’ll start to get a picture of what Spill, Dance, Refine’s latest is all about.
