“Sophie” is a bit of a slight song that doesn’t aim to knock you over or overwhelm you with deep meaning or substance. The L.A.-based trio featuring Nolan Simons, Chuck Fyn, and Dino Spumoni have written a track that’s most memorable for its melodic, easygoing sound along the lines of indie alt-pop. It’s enjoyable, and pleasant if you are in the mood to have some music playing in the background while you do something else. Maybe you want to just rest and unwind on your couch after a long day at work and/or soak in a soothing tub of water.
