SEX MASK RETURN WITH “COLD” AND ANNOUNCE NEW EP “BODY BROKER” OUT NOVEMBER 26

Melbourne post-punk trio Sex Mask are back with “Cold”, the reverb-soaked lead single from their upcoming EP Body Broker, set to arrive November 26. The track follows their recent double A-side 7”, Circe / How To Be Cool At Parties, and captures the band at their most intense and inventive.
Dubbed “Australia’s next big export” by NME, Sex Mask — made up of Vicente Moncada, Wry Gray, and Kaya Martin — have earned praise from CLASH, Kerrang!, and The Line of Best Fit for their blend of raw emotion and absurdist punk. With Cold, they dive deep into a feverish soundscape of industrial rhythm, serrated guitars, and explosive vocals that hit like a release.
Wry Gray explains the song’s strange origin, recalling how it was written while bedridden near Mount Fuji after a bizarre encounter with a rare neurotoxin: “I was filling glass jars with may beetles, aging them until they became like preserves.” That unsettling imagery bleeds into the music — dark, hypnotic, and hard to shake.
The new EP Body Broker promises to expand Sex Mask’s sonic reach, with industrial beats, avant-rock layers, and a guest appearance from Noah Learmonth of Radio Free Alice, whom they’ll tour with this autumn. With shows across the UK and Europe, including a sold-out date at London’s Scala, the band is proving why the world is paying attention.
