Philadelphia’s own Sweet Pill are officially entering a new chapter. The band has announced their highly anticipated new album, Still There’s A Glow, set for release on March 13, 2026 through Hopeless Records. Known for their explosive blend of emo urgency, math-leaning riffs, and gut-punch vocal performances, Sweet Pill are gearing up to deliver their most emotionally charged and sonically ambitious project yet.
To mark the announcement, the band dropped the album’s lead single, “No Control,” along with a gripping new music video that captures the track’s spiraling tension. True to Sweet Pill form, “No Control” hits with a frantic pulse: serrated guitars slicing through the mix, drums that stutter and sprint without warning, and lead vocalist Zayna Youssef pushing her voice from hushed vulnerability to full-throttle catharsis. It’s a perfect reminder of why Sweet Pill became a breakout force within emo’s new wave — raw, intricate, and fiercely alive.
Sweet Pill has also announced a lengthy 2026 U.S. and Canada headline tour in support of the album, beginning on release day in Pittsburgh, PA, and wrapping up with a hometown Philadelphia show on April 18th. The run includes a March 20th stop at Brooklyn’s Warsaw and an April 2nd performance at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre. A full itinerary is listed below.
The video for “No Control” amplifies the song’s emotional unraveling with claustrophobic, cinematic snapshots of self-indulgence and chaos. Scenes of Zayna Youssef smoking cigarette after cigarette, frantically toggling between video games, and spiraling in a haze of overstimulation mirror the track’s desperate pulse. Even a plate full of half-smoked cigarettes becomes part of the visual language, reinforcing the sense of a life slipping out of focus. It’s a striking representation of what Sweet Pill excels at: translating inner turmoil into something beautiful, breathable, and loud enough to shake you awake. And at the center of it all are Zayna Youssef’s full-hearted vocals, carrying the tension with both vulnerability and fire.
“This is the first song we completed for Still There’s A Glow. At that time, I was feeling a bit… indulgent. Taking what I want, whenever I wanted it, and disregarding the world all at the same time. I felt like my self worth was cheap, and that I had no boundaries as a healthy person. I quite literally had no self control,” Youssef explains of “No Control,” which arrives alongside a Johnny Komar–directed video. “This song is sort of my way to rock bottom. It is my fancy way of calling myself a pushover, unconfident, and ungrateful. I had this ‘grass is always greener’ kind of mentality and wanted more when I already had it and then some.”
Still There’s A Glow marks Sweet Pill’s first full-length release since signing with Hopeless Records, and early hints suggest a record shaped by personal upheaval, self-interrogation, and the flickers of hope that survive even the darkest seasons. Expect dynamic songwriting, sharp technicality, and the kind of emotional gut-punches that defined their beloved debut.
